Question
I have 5 × UP5000 (as opposed to US5000). Are these compatible with your device? I want to use it with Home Assistant.
Short answer
Yes. The UP5000 has the same low-voltage Console (RS-232) port and console protocol as the supported US5000 and UP2500. One Pylon-Monitor on the master's Console port reads all five batteries individually, and Home Assistant works through MQTT auto-discovery or a REST sensor.

Yes, the UP5000 works. What matters for compatibility is the low-voltage Console RJ45 (RS-232) port and the standard Pylontech console protocol — the UP5000 has both, just like the UP2500 and US5000 we officially support. We haven't tested a UP5000 by name, but there is no protocol or connector difference that would stop it.
For your 5 batteries you need only one Pylon-Monitor. Plug its cable into the Console port of the master unit only; the master relays the questions to the whole group. All 5 are read and shown individually (state of charge, voltage, current, power, state, state of health, cycles, temperatures), plus a capacity-weighted combined state of charge. One device handles up to 16 batteries, so you have plenty of headroom.
Home Assistant is native: either MQTT auto-discovery (zero YAML, sensors appear by themselves) or a short REST sensor block that the device generates for you. Setup is a 2-minute WiFi portal, with no app or account.
