2. Hosting
The Site and the Pylon-Monitor cloud service are hosted on servers operated by the publisher in France, connected through Free SAS (8 rue de la Ville l’Évêque, 75008 Paris, France), and delivered through the Cloudflare network (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).
3. What we sell
Pylon-Monitor.com sells the "Pylon-Monitor" device, a Wi-Fi-based, local, read-only monitoring add-on for Pylontech battery systems. Product photos and illustrations are indicative and have no contractual value; specifications are given in good faith and may be updated without notice as the product evolves.
4. Prices & payment
All prices on the Site are displayed in Euros (€), VAT not applicable (article 293 B of the French Tax Code): the price shown is the price you pay. Shipping costs are calculated and shown before you confirm your order. Payment is processed securely at checkout via Stripe (card payments) or PayPal. Pylon-Monitor.com never sees or stores your full card details — they are handled entirely by Stripe/PayPal's PCI-compliant systems.
5. Orders & delivery
An order is confirmed once payment has been accepted; you will receive an email confirmation with your order reference. Estimated delivery times are given at checkout and are indicative. Risk of loss/damage in transit passes to the carrier's network as per standard shipping terms; please check your parcel on delivery and report any visible damage to us promptly.
6. Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers)
In accordance with EU and French consumer law, you have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact contact@pylon-monitor.com before the deadline. The item must be returned in its original condition and packaging; return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty. We refund the price of the item and the standard delivery cost on the original payment method within 14 days of your withdrawal; the refund may be held until the returned item is received. 7. Warranty
The Pylon-Monitor device is sold with a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to the legal warranty of conformity under French/EU law. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, or an improper power supply. To make a warranty claim, contact contact@pylon-monitor.com with your order reference. After these 2 years, the device is no longer covered: we offer no repair, replacement or take-back, and a new device must be ordered. This does not affect the legal guarantee against hidden defects (Code civil, art. 1641 and following). Shipping costs for each case: see our return conditions.
7.1 Conditions of use. The device must be installed indoors, in a dry and ventilated room, at an ambient temperature between 0 and 25 °C; never in a closed box or cabinet, on or against an inverter, a radiator or any other heat source, nor in direct sunlight. It must be powered by a 5 V USB supply in good condition.
7.2 Recorded internal temperature. From firmware v3.4.4 / Lite v1.1.4, the device continuously measures the temperature inside its enclosure and keeps the highest value with its date; when the optional Cloud is on, these readings are also stored on our servers. Under the conditions of article 7.1, the internal temperature stays below 70 °C. A recorded internal temperature above 70 °C shows that the device was used outside these conditions (insufficient ventilation or excessive heat): damage resulting from it is not covered by the commercial warranty and does not constitute a lack of conformity under the legal guarantee.
7.3 Screen. A fault limited to the screen, while the device keeps working (WiFi, local dashboard, online dashboard), is a minor lack of conformity: it gives the right to repair, replacement or a price reduction, but not to cancellation of the sale with a full refund (French Consumer Code, art. L217-14). For professional buyers, the screen is not covered by the commercial warranty.

9. Disclaimer
The Pylon-Monitor is a passive monitoring device. It does not control charging, discharging or any safety system of the battery. Data displayed is provided as-is, for informational purposes only. The user is responsible for the safe operation of their own battery system.
10. Privacy & data we collect
When you place an order, we collect the personal data necessary to process it (name, address, email, order details) and keep it only as long as required for order fulfilment, accounting and legal obligations. We never sell your personal data. It may be shared with the service providers strictly needed to run the Site: Stripe/PayPal (payment), our carrier/SendCloud (shipping), and Brevo (transactional emails).
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email contact@pylon-monitor.com.
The Pylon-Monitor device works entirely on your own network. It sends nothing to us unless you switch on the optional Cloud in its own Settings: it then pushes your battery readings to our servers in France so you can see them on your online dashboard (raw readings kept 7 days, 5-minute averages 90 days, hourly averages 3 years). You can switch it off at any time in the device’s Settings; write to us to have the stored history deleted. The data sent also includes the temperature inside the device, which may be used to assess a warranty claim (article 7.2).
11. Cookies & tracking
This Site uses Google Tag Manager to load a basic, privacy-conscious analytics tag (Google Analytics 4) that helps us understand site traffic and improve the Site. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used. On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential (analytics) cookies; your choice is stored in your browser and analytics only run if you accept. Strictly necessary cookies (shopping cart, security token) are always active, as they are required for the Site to function and do not require consent under the ePrivacy directive.
12. Liability
Pylon-Monitor.com cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from use of the Site, nor for service interruptions, external intrusion or the presence of computer viruses beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in this notice limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. in case of gross negligence or for death/personal injury).
