What's in the box

You'll also need: any 5 V USB source (phone charger, inverter USB port, power bank…). The device draws under 0.5 W.

5 steps to a live dashboard

  1. Plug into the battery

RJ45 cable into the Console port of the master Pylontech battery (top of the stack), other end into the Pylon-Monitor.

  2. Power it on

Micro-USB to any 5 V source. The TFT screen lights up within 2 seconds and shows Starting WiFi…

  3. Join the setup network

On your phone, connect to the WiFi network called PylonMonitor-Setup. A setup page opens automatically.

  4. Pick your home WiFi

Select your network, type the password, hit Save. The device reboots and joins your WiFi.

  5. Open the dashboard

The TFT briefly shows the IP address assigned by your router (e.g. on the 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x range). Type it in your browser, or try http://pylon-monitor.local if your network supports mDNS.

That's it. You're live.

You'll see State of Charge, voltage, current, power, SOH, cycles, WiFi signal and temperatures — refreshed every few seconds. Same view on phone and PC.
