Can I read the reset count of all my batteries directly from a URL, for ioBroker / Grafana?

Asked · Updated · 1 answer

Short answer

Since firmware v3.4.4 / Lite v1.1.4, every battery carries reset_times in /api.json (unitsDetail) and in its MQTT attributes: the number of BMS restarts the battery itself reports. Useful to check that no monitoring tool disturbs the batteries.

I installed the Pylon-Monitor today and connected it to ioBroker over MQTT; I also read the JSON API to show the data in Grafana with Influx. Everything works, but I would also like to read the reset count of all batteries. Querying /raw?unit=2 takes a long time and has to be done by hand. Can I get this data directly from a URL for my 5 batteries?

Background: my previous monitoring solutions made the BMS of the slave batteries reset when queried (info/pwr/stat/bat), even at a polling interval of 60 minutes, which only started with firmware V2.3 on my US5000 master. So I would like to keep an eye on the reset count.

Firmware v3.4.4 / Lite v1.1.4 adds it: each battery in /api.json (unitsDetail[n].reset_times) and in its MQTT attributes now carries reset_times, the “Reset Times” counter the battery reports in its health report. It is null until the battery has sent it once (some older BMS never do).
