Just upgraded to firmware 3.3.3 and the dashboard does not seem to be updating automatically.
Short answer
On the device, the dashboard loads the figures when you open the page and updates them when you click Refresh; this is deliberate, to keep its small web server stable. For a page that updates by itself use the free Cloud dashboard (refreshes every minute, full history) or MQTT / Home Assistant. An optional auto-refresh setting has been suggested and noted for a future firmware.
Thanks for reporting this. The dashboard on the device loads the figures when you open the page, and updates them each time you click the Refresh button at the top — it doesn’t refresh on its own. That is deliberate: it keeps the device’s small web server responsive and stable on every network. MQTT is not affected and stays live.
Having worked in the IT industry for many years, you normally expect web pages to refresh. What you could do is include a setup option to enable refresh with a minimum value to safeguard the device’s stability, maybe defaulting to 1 minute as your Cloud dashboard does. Hope it’s possible?
Thanks for the suggestion, it makes sense, and we have noted it for a future firmware.
In the meantime, if you would like a page that updates on its own, the free Cloud dashboard does exactly that: it refreshes every minute and keeps the full history. To set it up, open Settings → “Public JSON access” on the device, click “Generate random key”, tick “Enable a real public URL (via pylon-monitor.com)” and Save. Then add the key at https://pylon-monitor.com/account. MQTT / Home Assistant stay live as well.
