Is the Pylon-Monitor compatible with BST batteries that look like Pylontech but have no Console port?

Short answer

No. The Pylon-Monitor reads Pylontech batteries through their Console port, using Pylontech’s own console protocol. Other brands that look similar use different protocols, and without a Console port there is no way to connect it.

Hello, I am considering buying your unit and wanted to know whether it is compatible with my BST batteries, which are very similar to Pylontech. Unfortunately I cannot find a Console port on my BST batteries, so I wanted to know if there is a way to connect your Pylon-Monitor.

Unfortunately, the Pylon-Monitor isn’t compatible with BST batteries. It reads Pylontech batteries through their dedicated Console port, using Pylontech’s own console protocol. Even when other brands look very similar, they use different protocols, and without a Console port there is no way to connect it.

We would rather tell you now than have you buy something that won’t work for you. If you ever add Pylontech batteries, we will be happy to help.
