Short answer
Older Pylontech batteries (US2000B, US2000 Plus, US2500) have a small 4-pin RJ11/RJ10 Console socket instead of RJ45. They work with an RJ11-to-RJ45 adapter cable you can make yourself: RJ11 pin 2 → RJ45 pin 6, pin 3 → pin 3, pin 4 → pin 8.

Like the US2000B, the US2500 has an RJ11 Console port (4-pin) instead of RJ45, so the supplied cable doesn't fit. You need an RJ11-to-RJ45 adapter cable wired as follows:
- RJ11 pin 2 → RJ45 pin 6
- RJ11 pin 3 → RJ45 pin 3
- RJ11 pin 4 → RJ45 pin 8
The RJ45 end goes into the Pylon-Monitor, the RJ11 end into the Console port of the master battery.
