I prepare a device and send it to my customer. Can I then watch their batteries remotely, or will the WiFi be a problem?

Short answer

Yes. The device only keeps the WiFi it was set up with; at the customer's it does not find it and opens its setup network by itself, the customer picks their own WiFi in about two minutes. The link to the online dashboard is kept, so the batteries appear remotely as soon as it is online, for example on /fleet.

Hello, a question about using the Pylon-Monitor. I am preparing a device and have finished the registration. If I now send this device to a customer and the customer connects the prepared device to their system, can I then view the batteries of that system remotely, or will there be problems with the WiFi?

Yes, that works. The device only keeps the WiFi it was set up with. At your customer's it does not find that network and automatically opens its setup hotspot: the customer connects to it with a phone and picks their own WiFi (about 2 minutes). If you already know the customer's WiFi details, you can also enter them before shipping.

The link to the online dashboard is kept. As soon as the device is on the customer's WiFi, you see the batteries remotely as usual, for example on pylon-monitor.com/fleet.
